Instagram is your favorite social network, and you actively use it every day. However, despite the effort you put into creating photos, stories, Reels, and other content, you feel unsatisfied with the results you’ve achieved so far, as you’re not getting the number of interactions and views you’d expect.
So, you’ve thought about rethinking your editorial schedule and are trying to figure out the best times to post on Instagram, as you’d like to optimize your content by sharing it during the days and times when users are most active. That’s true, right? Well, it’s a great idea, and I want to help.
In the next chapters of this tutorial, I’ll provide you with some tips on the best times and days to post on Instagram, and I’ll also explain how to analyze your account statistics to help you understand, based on your followers, when your most active times are. So, if you’re ready to get started, let’s get to work together: I hope you enjoy the read!
Best times to post on Instagram Dubai
As mentioned, it’s impossible to precisely determine the best times to post on Instagram, as there aren’t specific times or days of the week when all social network users are most active.
For example, much depends on the country where the people you want to reach (or who are already your followers) are located. However, if most of those you want to reach live in Dubai, it might be, generally speaking, a good idea to post in the evening, when everyone is returning from school or work. More specifically, according to some research conducted by social media managers or people working in social media marketing, the best time to post on Instagram is between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM, with peak usage around 8:00 PM. During the day, however, the recommended time slot is between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
As for the rest of the afternoon, the time slot between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM is the best. During these times, your target audience will primarily be students returning from school or university.
Regarding the days of the week, according to some research, the most engaging days are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Sunday is not recommended, as it typically sees the least activity on almost all social media platforms.
Of course, for your followers in other parts of the world, these times could be at night or during the middle of the workday, when there’s no time to look at your smartphone.
Therefore, given that you can potentially reach an audience from all over the world on Instagram, it’s impossible to optimize your content to reach everyone.
Also consider that engagement on Instagram isn’t just dependent on the time and day of posting: the type of content you post is also important to reach a large audience.
For example, the algorithm favors videos more than photos (specifically, stories and reels are the most popular content among users), while carousels are preferred for posts, as they allow for interaction with the photos and videos posted.

How to see your best times to post on Instagram:
To understand the best times and days to post on Instagram, you can rely on a very precise and reliable tool for understanding your audience’s performance: the Insights panel, which contains all your profile statistics along with an analysis that the social network performs on the activity of your followers.
This section was previously reserved for those with a professional account, but is now also available to personal accounts. However, you still need at least 100 followers to view the information.
Below, I’ll explain how to use it from a smartphone/tablet and a computer.
To view the Insights panel on smartphones and tablets, launch the Instagram app for Android or iOS/iPadOS and log in to your account, if necessary.
Once you’ve done this, go to your profile, then tap the menu icon and, on the Settings & Activity screen, tap Your Dashboard > New Followers if you have a personal Instagram account.
If you have a professional account, tap Insights on the Settings & Activity screen.
Once you’ve done this, tap on New Followers and select the time period for which you want to view the data (e.g., Last 30 Days).
Finally, scroll down and refer to the Most Active Periods graph to see which days and times your followers are most active.
On a computer, however, you can only view the Insights panel if you have a professional account.
In this case, log in to your account from the official website or the social network app for Windows.
After that, click on Dashboard in the side menu, and on the Professional Dashboard screen, click on Insights, then select the Account option.
Now, set the time frame for which you want to view the data (for example, Last 30 days) and scroll down. Then, locate the Busiest Times section to see the days and times when your followers are most active.
Once you’ve figured out your best times to post on Instagram, all you have to do is experiment, applying the tips I provided previously regarding the type of content to post.
